Singularity University and Project HeHa Showcase Finalists of Global Competition Representing Best Ideas, Startups For Achieving Happiness

Singularity University and Project Heha, a worldwide movement to help people achieve super happiness and co-create a happier world will judge finalists from their Super Happiness Challenge at the Final Pitch Day on Oct. 20 at GSV Labs in Redwood City, Calif.  The event, which will take place from 2 to 6 p.m., will include presentations from the finalists who will present their ideas and startups to a panel of judges and investors.

Singularity University has announced the creation of ten new community chapters, bringing the total of SingularityU Chapters worldwide to 83 in 50 countries. New SingularityU Chapters have been formed in: Uberlandia, Brazil; Vancouver and Montreal, Canada; San Salvador, El Salvador; Douglas, Isle of Man; Kyoto, Japan; Nassau, The Bahamas;  and Austin, Boston, and Minneapolis-St. Paul, U.S. Chapter Renewals include: Sofia, Bulgaria; Victoria and Toronto, Canada; Santiago, Chile; Quito, Ecuador; Milan, Italy; Panama City, Panama; Lima, Peru; Geneva, Switzerland; Taipei, Taiwan; and Istanbul, Turkey.

Singularity University today announced the 2017 startups with the most innovative solutions to help address the most urgent issues facing humanity today. The SU Global Grand Challenge Award winners were selected from three finalists in each of twelve categories: energy, environment, food, water, governance, health, disaster resilience, learning, security, shelter, space, and prosperity. Their solutions involve exponential technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, artificial and/or virtual reality, and digital biology to disrupt the status quo.

Singularity University Completes 2017 Global Solutions Program

Singularity University has graduated 80 entrepreneurs from 40 countries from its flagship Global Solutions Program (GSP). The GSP Class of 2017 was predominantly female; 70 percent had entrepreneurial experience, and 60 percent had worked in various technology fields. One-third of participants also had previous experience working to solve a global grand challenge.
