MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. – October 19, 2016 – Singularity University (SU), a global community using exponential technologies to tackle the world’s biggest challenges, today announced its strategic brand refresh, driven by the meaningful and measurable impact achieved by the benefit corporation in the “tech for good” space, its broadening international scope, and plan forward to create a more abundant future for all.
SU’s new tagline, “Be Exponential,” serves as a call to action for its global community of entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, development organizations, governments, investors, and academic institutions, as well as broader society to build breakthrough solutions to humanity’s biggest challenges through the use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital biology.

Since its founding in 2008 by Ray Kurzweil and Peter H. Diamandis, SU has expanded in Silicon Valley and grown to 50 global chapters run by an alumni network from 110+ countries.

Companies coming through SU’s ecosystem include: Made in Space, a space manufacturing company developing technologies necessary for humanity to become a multi-planetary civilization; Getaround, a peer-to-peer car-sharing company that enables people to rent cars by the hour; Matternet, a provider of autonomous drone logistics systems for urgent deliveries such as those during disaster relief; Modern Meadow, a company using biofabrication to grow nature’s materials with living cells instead of animals; X2AI, an emotional conversational AI which administers therapy; and Field Ready, a nonprofit venture providing 3D printed humanitarian supplies in the field.
