Kausar Samli

Dr. Kausar Samli leads G&D’s initiatives in product commercialization, strategic partnership development, and investor relations. He has co-founded Startups, provided business leadership to technology startups, and received additional training in technology entrepreneurship at Singularity University located at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley. Dr. Samli co-developed aspects of the Lectenz® technology and has unique expertise in cell-specific targeting, high-throughput screening, molecular evolution, protein engineering, and molecular modeling.

As a scientist, Dr. Samli's application-oriented biotechnology research has been peer-reviewed, published, and presented at international conferences. As an experienced entrepreneur, he provides business leadership and serves in an advisory capacity to various technology Startups leveraging his expertise in strategy, technology, and organizational development. As a thought-leader and internationalist, his efforts also focus on promoting and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship to address regional and global challenges.

Dr. Samli's expertise and interests includes organizational development, performance management, business intelligence, entrepreneurship, biotechnology, societal impact, applied behavioral analysis in the business environment, and advocating educational advancement especially in developing and under-developed nations.

Dr. Samli's global perspective is a result of having lived in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. He is multi-cultural and multi-lingual. His international experience has allowed him to develop a deeply nuanced perspective of the significant factors behind a community’s faith, cultural and philosophical history, perspective and trajectory. These experiences coupled with his scientific expertise enable him to mediate inter-cultural dialogue especially pertaining to issues of science, technology, and societal impact.
