Jumpstart Your Understanding of the Future
Foundations of Exponential Thinking is a focused, three-day, executive learning program that has been specifically designed as a practical jumpstart for future-focused leaders. This program will provide the most critical knowledge and tools you need to plan and influence the future of your industry and your own career in this exponential era.
Inaugural program dates
October 9 - 11, 2017—Columbus, OH
In this fast-paced, three-day program we’ll introduce you to the core exponential trends that are driving our future, as well as equip you with unique frameworks and tools to help you quickly diagnose the impacts, risks and opportunities that exponential technologies and global grand challenges may present.
You’ll learn from recognized thought leaders about the current state of the art in technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, digital biology and 3D printing. You’ll also gain new perspectives on what happens as these technologies continue to advance and converge into new applications that will transform the world around us.
Global grand challenges
You’ll start to see these challenges as both risks and opportunities that need to be part of your future planning. While we have an ever-increasing opportunity to solve challenges like health, water, food, and energy via the innovative use of technology, this same technological advancement can also increase the risks we face in security, privacy, and ensuring prosperity in the world.
Tools and frameworks
The rate of change in today’s world requires that leaders be able to quickly understand and diagnose what new technologies and trends mean for their organization. We’ll practice using these tools in exercises and discussions that are woven throughout the program, applying what you are learning in real-time.
Who You'll Meet
This program is designed for mid- to senior-level leaders from the private sector, nonprofits, governments, learning institutions, and scientific research groups. We find that the mix of perspectives and experiences that comes from such a diverse group helps spur innovative thinking and fuel new ideas, making it an important part of the learning experience. You’ll also have a chance to connect directly with SU’s renowned thought leaders who will play an important role in helping you process what you learn during the program and can play an important support role in helping you achieve your goals long after the program has ended.
